Over half of the music now uploaded to Deezer each day is fully generated by artificial intelligence, with peak levels approaching 90,000 synthetic tracks per day in June 2026. This milestone marks the first time AI recordings have crossed the 50% threshold of daily deliveries on the French streaming service.
Deezer’s data shows a steep acceleration in AI music supply over the past 18 months, starting from around 10,000 fully generated tracks per day in January 2025, or roughly 10% of uploads. By April 2025, daily AI uploads had doubled to approximately 20,000 tracks, accounting for about 18% of new content on the platform.
September 2025 saw AI volumes rise to around 30,000 tracks per day, or 28% of all uploads, followed by 50,000 daily AI tracks and a 34% share in November 2025. The trend continued into 2026, with fully AI-generated uploads reaching about 60,000 tracks per day in January, representing 39% of all new music delivered to Deezer.
By April 2026, AI tracks climbed to roughly 75,000 per day and 44% of daily uploads, translating to more than 2 million AI-generated tracks added each month. June 2026 marked the first time fully AI-generated recordings surpassed half of all new uploads, with average daily deliveries near 90,000 synthetic tracks according to Deezer’s disclosure.
To manage this surge, Deezer introduced an AI music detection and tagging system in early 2025 that automatically analyzes uploads for synthetic generation. During the upload process, incoming tracks are scanned for indicators of extensive use of generative tools, and content is classified as fully or partially AI-generated based on this analysis.
The company defines fully AI-generated music as recordings created entirely by automated music generation systems rather than traditional human composition and production workflows. Deezer visibly labels AI-generated tracks and albums in the interface, adding an “AI-generated content” notice that allows listeners to identify synthetic recordings at a glance.
The company positions this tagging approach as unusually transparent among major streaming services and claims to be the only platform thoroughly marking fully AI-created music. Despite the dominance of AI recordings in new uploads, Deezer reports that fully AI-generated music still accounts for only a small fraction of overall listening compared with human-created tracks. Internal measurements indicate that 85% of AI-generated streams on the service are fraudulent and therefore demonetized.
To limit the impact of synthetic recordings on discovery, fully AI-generated tracks are systematically excluded from algorithmic recommendation feeds on the service. Deezer also omits 100% AI-generated songs from its editorial playlists, reducing the presence of automated music in high-profile curated listening spaces.
Synthetic tracks remain available in the broader catalog, but they are typically surfaced within specific artist or album contexts rather than in general discovery sections. When users access albums that include AI-generated recordings, the platform communicates this presence through visible labels or pop-up notices highlighting that some content was produced by artificial intelligence systems.
